Mr. Korvi Rakshand Dhrubo, Founder of JAAGO Foundation was awarded with the Best CSR Performance Award. He collected the prize from the chief guest Lt. Col. (Retd.) Faruque Khan, Honorable Commerce Minister of the people’s republic of Bangladesh.

Korvi received this award with this prize because of his incredible sensitivity and unbounded commitment to instigating effective positive social change. Realizing the need to make a positive contribution to the sustainable development of the country, Korvi diverted away from the practice of worthless discussions by establishing a proper youth based organization that strived to unite the youth of the country and the world together. With the help of fellow university students and friends, Korvi launched a youth based movement, which is known as ‘JAAGO Foundation’.

JAAGO Foundation is a civil society organization run by a group of dedicated youth working towards alleviating poverty and illiteracy from the face of Bangladesh. JAAGO introduced the first Free-of-Cost School exclusively for the underprivileged children and operates a number of supporting development projects to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. On November 2007, the Free-Schooling program at JAAGO started with 17 children in a small room with only a whiteboard and a piece of carpet. Now, JAAGO, the savior of 360 children of four grades, is equipped with four fully-fledged classrooms, and a smooth functioning efficient administration. In addition, JAAGO has in its ranks, more than 4000 national and international volunteers who work tirelessly in numerous events throughout the year. For an organization that tries to ensure excellence over magnitude, this phenomenal growth has exceeded many expectations.
