Praying for the Victims of the March 11 Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan

Nineteen JAAGO children and sixteen volunteers came together on the 15th of April to pray for the victims of the unforgettable March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The students, all from Class I, included Rahat, Rummanav, Rana, Arif, Lelin, Rumman, Rubel, Noyon, Akash, Shohag, Sony, Mukta, Shima, Fatema, Lily, Shopna, Rima, Sonia and Bithi. The volunteers were comprised of Ovi, Ony, Shakhi, Liza, Marfin, Mifta, Farhan, Dipro, Wasif, Wazi, Drohi, Nibir, Zihad, Eva, Katie and Nuruddin.
JAAGO Foundation joined the Bridge Club of Bangladesh in this endeavor and paid their respects to the deceased and prayed for their souls, and prayed for the rest of the country that it can quickly recover from this mass tragedy. The event took place at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The day started out with the congregation of the students and volunteers and everyone else who was a pat of this endeavor. Mr. Sourav Zahid, Peace Ambassador (APCC), initiated the event with a short speech, explaining to everyone present about what happened in JAPAN and the reason behind the day's event. The group formed a large human chain procession along the streets in front of the Academy and near Curzon Hall, to create awareness for the sufferers of Japan. Later there was also a candle-lighting and a few moments of silence held for those who had passed away.
