Sohel's Story

Like many other children his age, Sohel had to leave his parents and six other siblings back at his village to come to Dhaka. He was sent to the city to work in a house and his salary each month was sent back to his parents. Even at such a young age, Sohel became a tremendous financial help to his family.

Shahana's Story

Shahana, currently a student of K.G 1 at our Rayer Bazaar section, is one of the kids at JAAGO whose life turned around thanks to the JAAGO Foundation Sewing Centre. Raju's Story

Raju is probably one of the most popular students of the JAAGO Foundation School, known to visitors and JAAGO staff as the 'art prodigy'. Raju's pictures of mosques and footballers adorn the boards of almost every single room of JAAGO.

Sojol's Story

Sojol is currently studying in morning shift of KG 2. He, with his mother and younger sister live in a small room in Beri Badh while his father lives in the family's hometown. Sojol's father remarried and settled in the village with another woman and refuses to come back to Dhaka City.
