The World Health Organization and the Centre for Disease Control claimed and recommended that wearing a face mask helps to slow down the spread of COVID-19. A combination of preventive measures, like social distancing, frequent hand washing along with wearing a face mask will minimize the rate of coronavirus spreading. This pandemic is not going to be over any time soon.
Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the youth wing of JAAGO Foundation, Volunteer for Bangladesh has stepped up again with the support of Beximco Pharmaceuticals, for the people of Bangladesh through its countrywide awareness campaign named ”আপনার মাস্ক কোথায়?” (Where is your mask?). COVID-19 is not just a health crisis but also a social, economic, and political crisis that is leaving deep scars all over the world. Volunteer for Bangladesh is working relentlessly from the beginning to fight COVID-19. This awareness campaign will be launched around Bangladesh, aiming to raise awareness among people about the importance of using masks to reduce the spread of COVID 19.
This awareness campaign will be visible on the street with the participation of the youth in 64 districts of Bangladesh on Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 10:00 AM and will continue till 12:00 PM countrywide. The youth from different districts will take part in this campaign from the important locations of their respective districts.
People have already started their new normal life by adapting to this pandemic situation. Society needs a wide behavioral change to overcome this situation. By effective campaigns and mass awareness, this situation might get controlled. This campaign will make people aware to adopt the new normal and the importance of wearing a face mask as a responsible citizen of the country.
