Apnar Mask Kothay? – Sharod Porbo by Volunteer for Bangladesh

Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives; the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19. Most of the people of our country are still unaware of using masks at any crowded place. To address the importance of using masks and ensure COVID19 measures at Puja Mandaps, Volunteer for Bangladesh, the youth wing of JAAGO Foundation has initiated the campaign named ‘Apnar Mask Kothay?’-Sharod Porbo’.

“Apnar Mask Kothay? Sharod Porbo” was focused on the most significant religious festival of the Hindu community in Bangladesh ‘’Durga Puja’’. It is usually a four days long celebration at different locations gathering thousands of people in one place. Volunteer for Bangladesh arranged this phase of the mask campaign in 47 districts of the 8 divisions of Bangladesh from October 11-October 14, 2021, with thousands of youth volunteers of the country. Our volunteers raised awareness by using placards, leaflets and distributing masks among the crowds visiting the Puja Mandaps to ensure the COVID 19 safety measures. The whole campaign was observed in association with Beximco Pharmaceuticals.
