I am Lelin, from Keraniganj, Dhaka. I am the fourth one among my siblings. My elder brother died in 2019. My father used to be a Rickshaw puller, and my mother was the office support. Due to the severe illness of my father, he wasn’t capable of supporting the family. Therefore, my brother-in-law took all the responsibilities of our family.
I come from a background where education is considered the least priority. I had to support my family financially at the same time continue my education.
My three elder siblings & I studied free of cost at JAAGO Foundation Rayerbazar School. I passed the SSC examination from JAAGO Foundation School Rayerbazar branch in 2016 and secured an A+ from Science background. Then I got admitted to Scholars College Dhanmondi with financial support from JAAGO. Currently, I am enrolled in one of the most competitive institutions in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). I feel privileged to receive the support from JAAGO that changed my and my family’s future.
