Imbued with the spirit of honouring the golden jubilee of Bangladesh and JAAGO’s strength in youth mobilisation, this International Youth Day, we celebrated youth and volunteerism through multiple dialogues and social awareness activities. In collaboration with Action Aid Bangladesh we arranged a virtual session on “Dialogue for change: Youth participation in decision making for community development” between policy makers and youth leaders from different parts of the country. They discussed the challenges and opportunities in participation in the decision-making process for attaining governance in the country. To emphasise “Youth Voice”, we in association with The Asia Foundation, hosted another virtual dialogue session on “Youth Voice Matters”, bringing youth representatives from 64 districts and multi-party policymakers to voice youth concerns.
In addition to this, our youth leaders across Bangladesh organised awareness campaigns related to COVID-19 and distributed safety kits among the disadvantaged communities to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
